Responsibilities

This position will perform multifaceted accounting functions in a multi-company organization. This position will report to the Controller but will work closely with the entire accounting team. Must be proficient in accounting procedures and have a strong accounting knowledge base.

What does an Accounting Specialist do for Bonaventure?

  • Completion of account reconciliations
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Preparation and posting of general journal entries
  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Assist in payroll processing
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare month end and year end financials
  • Miscellaneous and special projects as needed and assigned
     

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger of accounting principles
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • 10-key and typing skills
  • Highly organized and sensitive to confidentiality
